About Us
Claire & Jonathan (& Tito)

We are Claire Jonathan and Tito (the terrier). Our home port is Bluffton, SC and we are living and traveling on our 37' Island Spirit sailing catamaran, Maho.

The Basics: 

We love traveling and being on the water! We both grew up swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, water skiing, etc.

 

We do not have remote jobs :( Jonathan works in heating and air (HVAC mechanic) and Claire is a physical therapist assistant (PTA) and we are currently balancing work and travel life; 

​

Jonathan is originally from Muskeego, WI and Claire is originally from Bluffton, SC. The short version of how we met; through mutual friends over running, waterskiing and a lost pair of Oakley sunglasses. The rest was history! Claire has always been a swimmer and swam at Clemson and Jonathan has always been a good runner and cyclist and we soon started competing in triathlons, swimming and running events.

We got married and bought a house in Beaufort, SC (the normal thing to do right). We were in the middle of remodeling when between weekend adventures, triathlons, and traveling we were never really there. We agreed the worst part of traveling is paying for somewhere to sleep, because lets be honest we only sleep there! At this point it was decided we would buy a boat and continue traveling via boat. So we completed the remodel, sold our house and bought Maho! Now we can take our home with us :)

Tito! our 10 lb rat terrier/fox terrier/chihuahua mix. We always think about how Tito didnt know when we adopted/rescued him that he would be a boat dog, Surprise! He has adjusted well and loves to sail but his favorite part is definitely still the beaches.
