I have never been on a podcast so I felt honored when Chase asked to interview me for his podcast. The About Abroad podcast offers inspiration, motivation, and advice about living a life without borders. It is put out weekly and focuses on speaking with people around the world about traveling, the highs and lows of getting places, processes involved in being able to stay places for extended periods of time, working, and so much more.
Was I nervous? I thought I would have been more nervous as public speaking has never been my strong suite. But then I realized how often Jonathan and I are telling people about our life, how we live this "not so normal" lifestyle, how we balance work and money and traveling, how does our dog do on a boat, and how we even came to buying a boat in the first place. Once I thought about it I realized I was much more excited than nervous. I was excited to spread my knowledge and tell our story as inspiration to others aspiring to live and travel via boat.
The interview went great! It was more of a conversation than an interview which was perfect. The hardest part was probably staying to track; there is so much information, there is so much to tell! If I could do it over I would of course change some things, I could easily tell you things I forgot and things I would have focused more on, but hey, thats hindsight for you.
